You know people appreciate what you do when they show up on a cool, windy, cloudy and rainy day in Los Angeles to attend a walking tour. Over fifty intrepid design enthusiasts braved the elements for de LaB’s Modernism Walking Tour.
We started at the iconic tiered John Ferraro Building, LADWP. Solar panels over the car ports, shallow water pond around the building and drought sensitive landscaping.
The group crossed the street to the L.A. Music Center and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The iwitness Armenian Genocide exhibit was on display at the Music Center and Grand Hope Park. A stunning exhibit surrounded by Modernism architecture and the Grand Hope Park fountain.
From there we crossed over to the great lawn of the courthouse with City Hall beyond that. GROUP PICTURE!!!
Continuing to the James K. Hahn city hall east, the mall, the Federal Building and to our final destination of the Parker Center.
